Serves me right for not checking the downloads properly. Of course it won't let me uninstall in program's and features. I am looking at a system restore point if no one can help me

i had similar problem last week.

i had to create another admin account to delete through progammes and features.

that didnt get rid of it. everytime i opened google it directed me to this virus search engine.

ended up having to go into settings on google and deleting it from various points on there where it had embedded itself.

i havent seen it since thank god.

Sounds like a plan. I will try the new account thing first Smile

It's popping up ads all the time and redirecting eBay away from eBay Confused. Think it's a nasty one!

ooh it sounds like a bad one then Sad.
I'm no expert on computers it might be worth taking it to a proper computer place to be fixed.

Fair. I pay for pc world every month so will take it in there but wanted to put a couple of things on eBay first so I'll have a bit of a fiddle...famous last words.

Think I've already looked at that 'remove imminent' page but will try again.

I've got a blank screen as administrator trying to download revo uninstaller so it may be blocking me. I'll do a system restore if this doesn't work then it's pc world anyway.

It's hidden itself from the program list so I'll have to surcharge the computer Sad. Just gets worse.

Taken most of the day playing on mumsnet at the same time but I've scanned with Spybot, c cleaner and malwarebytes and the last little beauty flushed the bugger out of it's hiding place and wiped it Smile

Now just need to figure out how to download all my documents to DVD !
