Printing envelopes but coming out blank!

What am i doing wrong?? Printer doesn't have a C6 option so I've done a custom size and selected 'envelope', so all should be ok? But they're coming out blank. HP laserjet…new.

I then tried selecting the C5 option that's on there anyway and it printed (though font sizes / layout all wrong etc) so I assume it's not recognising my custom size.

Can you set it as A4 and still get it to feed in the envelope? If so, then set layout on A4 such that it prints on the envelope.

Print labels, write by hand?

With custom size, if you print onto A4 sheet, can you work out where it is putting the text? May be a certain side the envelope needs to go in the feeder.
