iCloud empty, iPhone full...

My phone keeps telling me I have 0mb free and need to update my storage. I have 18mb free on iCloud. How do I put it there instead of on my phone?????

A quick google search threw up this, which looks pretty simple:

(Note: I'm in the same boat as you, so can't vouch for it - yet!)

You'll need to sync the icloud. I ended up going into my local Apple store because I couldn't be arsed doing it myself.

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you can't put it on the cloud instead of your phone. The cloud acts as a back up, and the next time you backed up, anything deleted from your phone would be either deleted from your phone or put back on. I guess you need something like drop box, or transfer some stuff onto a computer.
