Kindle Paperwhite - will they bring a new one out soon?

I have given my old Kindle to my Ds and am now wondering what to do for myself. The Paperwhite is £20 off today so I'm wondering about getting one but then maybe the reason they are £20 is they are about to bring out a new one and want to offload stock!? I could wait and just use my (old, heavyish) ipad with the Kindle app for a while.

If they do I will then kick myself for not waiting! Tried searching online to find rumours but they keep new versions secret until announcement. Any advice?

They may do - but I think that the current paperwhite is fine, nay near perfect. Amazon, apple et al trade on new versions being coveted but sometimes the new features just aren't worth it eg I cd have bought an S4 or waited a couple of months & hoped that the S5 wd be my dream phone BUT having tried the S3 & S4 I knew that the S3 wd be fine for the nect couple of years. I have the paperwhite & I love it. You know best how you feel about new tech.

I've just ordered one to replace my original keyboard kindle with lighted cover that I loved. DD accidently sat on it and cracked the screen

I was going to buy a second-hand keyboard but they go for ££ on ebay, so tried it in a shop and thought it was a good buy with £20 off.

Ahhhh I can't decide and the discount isn't for much longer.
Ds says I can share the old one with him though which makes sense as if we are travelling one of us can use the ipad and the other the KIndle.

Argh but then again...the Ipad isn't the same.
