So dd has an ipod and I have an iphone. We currently have the same apple id (my email for example [email protected]). Now we want separate ones, but dd doesnt want to lose her gameplay scores etc. I want to check theres nothing stopping this from being as simple as I hope it is.

Basically, theres nothing I want to save re apps and scores. Am I right in thinking if I just update the apple id address to hers , I can then set up a new account with [email protected]? Is there anything I could lose other than apps? I dont use icloud atm.

I believe you would effectively lose everything attached to your account. Apps, music, contacts, etc, as if you had a brand new phone. Anything you've bought through iTunes would have to be repurchased.

Ah, I didn't think about messages. I haven't bought anything on iTunes , so that's not an issue.

Thanks :)
