Whether cos you use them for shopping, to organise your time, to remind yourself about things you'd otherwise forget, to entertain toddlers, to get good deals, to take / organise photos etc. Whatever! Please share away!

Try 'our groceries' - shared shopping list. Brilliant!

It depends on what device your using? Iphone/andoid for specific app recommendations, the two I couldn't live without are the Natwest app and the BBC news app

HomeRoutine app (android, iOS and PC available). Great for housework for me and also for regular diary things for me; so ordering shopping etc.

Do it tomorrow. Useful to store jobs that you need to get around to doing but will forget if you don't write it down. It's very simple, you only have the option to add items, cross items out or shove them over to "tomorrow". At midnight everything rolls over to the current day with the crossed out ones getting deleted. Love it.

Also National Rail app (or country specific equivalent) if you ever use trains, and google translate, as I live abroad it's invaluable for a quick translation.

Whatsapp is good if you have friends who live abroad to text them for free.

Also (made me look now...)

MyFitnessPal which helps me keep track of what I'm eating
Sleepytime which tells me when to go to bed
Weather app so I know what to wear in the morning
Powernap - genius idea for an app - no snooze function on the alarm either.
Kindle (although less "useful" more "money drinking")
Decision wheel thing (lazy)
Decent email app.

Toca Boca games for the DC.

ShopShop for my shopping lists.

Skype for free video calls.

Kindle for reading. I always get the free books.

Various TV channels to watch missed programmes.

Paprika, a recipe manager. Great as it keeps the recipes from the internet in one place. Puts them into the same format and doesn't let ipad automaticaly sleep so recipe stays open while I cook.

ViewRanger - OS walking maps on mobile. Useful for those who do quite a lot of walking. (Have papermap as backup, esp in mountains)

Waze - satnav for your mobile with live traffic data. Google I think now own it, so seeing the traffic data appearing on google maps.

Out of milk is a brilliant grocery list app.
