iPhone 5c or 5s?

I have decided it is time for an upgrade - I have had my iPhone 4 for 3+ years. Orange have offered me the 5c for the same tariffs as I'm on now. They've offered the 5s for an extra £40 upfront and an extra £5 per month on my contract.

I use my phone for calls, mnetting Internet, photos and music.

Should I try to haggle on the 5s or would the 5c do the job?

5c is plasticky
5s is worth it - if you go to phones 4u they should do you a deal and wAive the upfront cost . They did for me, but it is branch discretion

It's meant to be plasticky!
I think the 5c is good and paying more for the 5s isn't worth it. There's not much between them really.

I like my 5c. It depends on if you think the extra is worth it really. It doesn't for me.

I like my 5s. Orange switched me over to EE when I upgraded. I think it was £15 upfront and on the same tariff (and I get 4G).
I'm a bit of a geek though and get far to much joy from the finger print lock.

I did think I should try and haggle a bit to get a better deal. The extra £5 per month is a bit galling. I'm not sure about plasticky, I like the robustness of my 4, it has lasted me over 3 years.

You should never have to pay a higher tariff if you haven't upgraded for over three years. Definitely try to haggle that down. Try Carphone Warehouse too as they are almost always cheaper and often have cashback deals as well on top.

5c is plasticky on the outside but aluminum under so still has the same protection. I love the vivid colours of 5c (I have a blue one )

Oh and mines been dropped plenty of times on concrete / hard services and think I probably made more of a mark on the floor than the phone !! lol

*surfaces ,lol

Thanks all. I'm not sure how these things work, but I went to Carphone Warehouse, just to have a look at the phones really and they could offer me a deal with Orange/EE, better than the one Orange/EE could do! Confused

So I chose the 5s 32MB which I got for the same tariff, I paid a bit more up front, but still a much better deal.

Thanks for your help.
