Just that really. Upgrade time approaching and I fancy a change..feeling seduced by the iphone, but would it be a pain to change to iphone having used android for the last 4 years or so?

I've always had androids and have an s3 but recently got an iPhone for work use.

As much as I resisted it I've crossed to the dark side and love using the iPhone so much more than the s3.

They essentially do the same things and I found the lack of a 'back' button odd at first but there is just something slicker about the iPhone.

Yes. We have Apple products in the house but much prefer the flexibility of Android.

Besides, the S3 looks more attractive than a chunky iPhone. And why do you want to be a sheep?

WineSpider · 07/06/2014 21:17

Don't do it. I recently moved from an iphone to samsung and it's soooo much better. I hated the restrictions imposed by (cr) apple. I really think they have begun to lose their way and have become quite arrogrant.

Bunbaker · 07/06/2014 21:18

WineSpider Apple have always been arrogant and restrictive.

LettertoHerms · 07/06/2014 21:22

Yes. As an android user, I find the limitations of the iPhone maddening. You'd be giving up tons of the functionality you're used to. My android does what I want how I want it to.

ShelaghTurner · 07/06/2014 21:30

Why are apple users sheep but not the legions of android fanboys? That's such a lame comeback.

daimbardiva · 07/06/2014 21:41

I don't want to be a sheep...just interested in trying something different. Thanks for your replies - some interesting views there, mostly in favour of sticking withandroid it seems.

Because there are several brands of phone that use Android operating systems. I feel that the marketing of Apple products is very clever and they tie you in to their products. IOS is a really inflexible operating system compared to Android.

Additional on Sheep, all iPhones look essentially the same, same dull rows of icons on the home screen all sorted to the top, same colour schemes, same keyboard, same browser, same text app, etc, etc.

You will rarely find two Android devices looking the same.

Apple customers also tend to be quite deluded about what they have because of the way everything is marketed. E.g. 'retina screen', give it a fancy name and the congregation seem to believe that it is somehow superior. Any idea how fast your A7 processor is by the way? Nope? It's just faster than the A6 I guess.....
