Help - Samsung Galaxy draining battery twice a day - Android OS

Since Monday I have had to charge my Samsung Galaxy twice a day.
It is not connected to the network.

I use it to phone and text only. I don't play games/email etc on it.

Looked at the battery status. Says 49% Android OS which seems to be the reason it may be draining. But what is Android OS ?

OS means operating system. It's like the equivalent of windows on a regular pc/ laptop. You can't run the phone without it!

Mine did this. Is it a Galaxy Ace? It was a piece of shit and when I got my new Xperia I gave it a right whack. [childish]

It is a Galaxy Ace. I don't use it much as I have other gadgets to play with.... And it is just draining and draining away. Grrrr

You could try a factory reset, that fixed my DH`s similar problem. I think it was a bug in an app causing the problem.

You can get apps to back up your text messages to Google if you want to save them and can back up your photos to Google Drive.

My DD's Samsung S4 did that too, it got sent away to be fixed but she ended up with a new one.

We have Samsung Tablets too and I find the batteries are all rubbish Hmm
