Retrieving a e mail from trash on an iPad...I'm buggered aren't I? :(

Sent an e mail at the beginning of march.
Kept it for ages but Finally deleted it about a month ago.
Low and behold today the person in question is denying all knowledge it was ever sent (it was)
It's a y mail account on my iPad.
It's gone forever isn't it?

Have you gone into the trash folder? I've retrieved things from there before

Yep. Not there :(

Have you tried logging into the email account through the web, rather than via the ipad app; as sometimes the settings are different on the actual email account and the trash folder isn't cleaned out as often
