Watching films on Hudl without internet connection

DS has a Tesco Hudl tablet. We had used blinkbox to buy a few films for the tablet and he's enjoyed watching these.
Was hoping he'd be able to watch on plane, however have only recently discovered that without an internet connection they won't play.

Anyone know if it's possible to download an app similar to google 'play TV and film' that would work for Blinkbox purchases at times when internet in available?? or would the google one work?

If your hudl isn't connected to the internet then you wont be able to do anything online at all.

You can however download film files onto the hudl (Legally of course) and watch them wherever you want to.

Download films from Google play beforehand. You can buy vouchers so you don't need your card details to go in.
