Getting photos off digital camera onto tablet, phone or ipod?

Is there any way of getting photos from a digital camera with a large SD card to any of these devices without using a laptop?

I'm thinking maybe a cable that goes from phone to camera, or a SD card reader that would plug in to a phone / tablet?

I want to get them onto a device that will then upload them to Flickr.
