Kodu Games Lab - Is it gobbling up our broadband usage?

I'm not sure if I'm even asking the right question but here goes - our (10GB limited) broadband usage has gone way over in the last two months and this seems to have coincided with my DSs new addiction to Kodu. Am I correct in thinking that everything is done online in Kodu? DS1 has been using his Pi offline to teach himself Python and create Scratch games for 18 months so when he asked about using Kodu I installed it on the family PC so both DSs could use it (hoping he would teach his little brother a bit of coding in the process Wink). I'm going to upgrade to unlimited broadband anyway but I'd like to know if it is Kudo doing this or if there is something else going on. They sometimes used to leave Kodu running in the backround all day but they know to close it before they leave for school now.
Many thanks to anybody who waded through my un-techy babble and can let me know if I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Depending on the complexity of the games being downloaded/shared it's certainly possible, 10gb isn't a lot! There are free tools out there to monitor bandwidth usage per program, let me know if you'd like this and I'll try to find one.

Thank your for your reply ellyzaz BT broadband can only break it down into down & upload usage so not really much use! If you can recommend something to help me keep an eye on what's using all the bandwidth I would be very grateful, the DC love to create and share their own games so I'd feel a bit mean asking them to cut back if it's not the cause.
p.s. I run Windows 8 with a 7 front end.
