I can download anything except podcasts :(

Hoping someone can help me with my android phone...at the moment I can download apps, updates, pdf f

sorry...
pdf files, and some mp3 files. However I can't download any podcasts from either the BBC website, or in any podcast apps. Any reason why this is the case?
It just comes up with "internal server error" on my podcast app (Podkicker).
