Xbox I hate you!

Is there software, or anything that switches of the Xbox automatically. Obviously my finger works well but I'm needing something that will prevent it being activated during the night.

I'm aware there are settings on the Xbox itself which limit the length of time DS can play on it but he is preferring to keep his hours of action to through the night, whilst I'm asleep and unaware of the night shift.
I've asked the Internet provider but apparently it can't be done that way.
Turning the whole router off doesn't work because I want the console off by 8.30 and I need to MN myself after that time.
Any solutions to make my life easier please?

What about something like this? Personally, I'd put it somewhere 'safe' during the night and explain why. I'm not sure whether cutting off the power supply to the x box would damage it but he'd be rather annoyed if he's in the middle of a game. Ds uses his a lot less when I haven't renewed the x box membership, so this is something that you could think about.

The bottom one suggests disabling the wireless function on the router, so you can only use it with a cable. I'm pretty sure ds's x box is connected to the router via a cable and not wi-fi, so you could remove the cable??

Just take the controller or the power cable.

sometimes low tech solutions are the most effective

There should be some parental controls on the router itself, which depending on the make and model give you options to control which devices can use the internet and at what time

I hide the power cable

I take the power cable.
Simple and it works.
My ds14. Has to have all devices ( mobile, Xbox,laptop)
Off and Out of his room by 8pm.
I want him to sleep well.
