Minecraft with a mac

Ds(7) has begged and begged for Minecraft and I've finally given in and downloaded it. I bought him the beginner's manual but he's not getting very far because our mac desktop has one of those poncey sleek mouses that doesn't give you the option of left or right click.
Is there a list / tutorial anywhere that shows you how to build stuff when you're playing on a mac? (Ds's suggestion was that we should get an xbox, but I don't think that idea's a runner …)

I have no idea, but I shall ask my 11 year old when I get home tonight. He has spent the last few years obsessed with Minecraft (waning slightly now) and only uses a Mac.

Don't get me started on mine craft. My DS is 8 as you all probably already know and uses it a a lot. I like that we have set up a private server that only friends with the details can join him and have access. I don't like the fact that he want's all the books and crap that goes with it!

Myself I use a virtual world called Second Life a much more sophisticated version of minecraft for adults only. I have been a resident since I was about 19 so its been a long time for me, I know the game inside out and back to front but minecraft completely boggles my mind. Good Luck OP! :-)

Thanks Goosey. I'm off to a meeting now but will check back later. I've got a feeling he's heading towards an all-consuming passion - he's obsessed already and he can't even play properly!

My 8yo ds tells me you can choose your controls. I have no idea how! We have the same set up- the kids have a desktop iMac and the sleek cordless mouse. They must have worked it out themselves!
