My MacBook Air is suddenly possessed - help!!

It was all fine this morning.

Nobody has touched it all day.

Tonight it is no longer passcode protected, I cannot open some TIO due to a parental lock Shock being in place, I have to 'click' the touchpad rather than just touch it to click anything, all my past history is gone (bookmarks etc).

It's all backed up on an AirPort, so I am not too worried about content.
But what on earth happened?
Apparently my firewall is switched off. I cannot reset it because I have no clue what my administrator username and password might be. It does not seem to be my Apple password.
To say I am Confused is an understatement…

Can anybody shed any light on this??

Please??

At the very least I have to figure out how to get the parental lock off Shock - I cannot read a discussion about the morning after pill FFS!

I will have to speak to Apple, won't I? Sad

Ha!

I figured it out all by myself Grin
Now if only I could figure out how to stop talking to myself…

GrinGrin Well done!

PacificDogwood · 15/05/2014 08:41

Where were you when I needed you?!

I so need a 'MacBook for Dummies' kinda guide - any suggestions?
I know there is an actual 'MacBook for Dummies' but it gets very mixed reviews on Amazon, so I have not pressed the checkout button yet Grin
Any recommendations?
I need an actual book I can have open next to the laptop, not an online 'help' - they make me despair!
