Anyone ever rescued a wet tablet?

Hello

My Samsung tablet unfortunately got wet yesterday, liquid poured on it. It turned itself off and I panicking dried it with a warm hairdryer and it turned back on by itself. It is two-thirds charged but I attempted to charge it to see if that still worked - and it turned off again! I did manage to turn it back on again, but then decided to turn it off and marinate it in a bag of rice for a couple of days.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is there anything else I can do for it? Could I have damaged it by turning it on again? Sad

Turn it off and leave it in an airing cupboard for a couple of days. Or put it in a big airtight bag with some rice to soak up the moisture.

Turning it on probably wasn't the best for it but what's done is done. Leave it to dry out completely and keep your fingers crossed. If it's any consolation my Galaxy Note has survived a dunk once it dried out but the screen was fizzling for a while.

Thanks niceguy2 , the rice trick worked, it spent nearly 48 hours with a kilo of rice and now works, and is charging, nicely.
