Blank, white screen on kindle

Hi,

I've tried the hold the button for 20 seconds several times for anything up to a count of 300! I've left it to charge first too. It's not working. Anyone got any bright ideas? I've googled and all I've found is 'hold the button for 20 seconds' 'cheers, that worked!'

It was a present 2 or 3 years ago so I don't have purchase details. Is there a contact address to ask for help that anyone knows, rather than asking on kindle forums?

Phone up Amazon. They are fantastic, will try to help you and, if it is buggered, they will give you a fairly good discount on a new one. You can put your number in and they call you back so it is even free!

NB - Just fixed my son's this way - do not work for them.
