Lost computer that 'track my' .........thingy

ok so it has gone, lots of photos which my husband had failed to back up and lots of work stuff, we are trying to track it currently it shows the device I am using as being about 2 streets away (we are in a reasonably unpopulated area so I'm guessing there is not much interference) the one I am tracking has been shown as off line.

Does anyone know what I can do to get it more accurate? Is there another app or programme? Can I use it when I can't access the computer? What do people use for cheating husbands?!

Tracking works by the device being tracked reporting its position to Apple. You can only track the laptop when it is turned on. You can get it more accurate on the device you are using by enabling GPS (if it is available and currently disabled) but I'm afraid there is nothing you can do to get a more accurate location for the missing one.
