Sizing up diagrams on a scanner

When I eventually get my scanner to work how do I double the size of a pattern for a bag I am making?

Usually the software which comes with a scanner will have options for scaling up or down. Failing that, you could import the scanned image into Word or PowerPoint and just make it bigger.

That's a good idea I will look at PowerPoint.
