Question about discs that go into Sony Handicam video recorders....

...hi, I've got a Sony Handicam, it's a bit dated now compared to much smaller video recorders, but it love it as you put the mini discs in, record, and then watch it straight back in a DVD player.

Footage I took on a recent holiday won't play back in any device but the camera, as whilst filming there was a glitch, and I couldn't "finalise" the disc in the camera, format it to allow you to replay it on other devices.

Any ideas?

TIA

Does that camera come with a way to play through a TV (eg AV cable to plug in) ? If it does, then there may be a way to play the recording on the Sony and record it using something else, if you are unable to save it (correctly) to disc in the Sony.

Thanks Network Guy - don't think I have a cable with it, I bought it from the Amazon market place second hand...Sad

You should be able to source the relevant cable through Sony or eBay or possibly somewhere like Maplin depending on exactly what the connection is. Although most Sony stuff tends to be proprietary so getting an official one might be the only way.
