Surface2 can't take photos

or at least nothing then shows on camera roll, but videos and panoramas show fine. Am new to this, so maybe am swiping in the wrong place or something but odd that the videos and panoramas save okay...

Next morning it is mysteriously now working - have done nothing different... did shut it down overnight, maybe it just needed a good nights sleep - and the oldest trick of switching off for a while still works for theses new fangled gadgets..?
