Setting up email on mil's new iPad

Hi,

I have given her an Apple ID using an iCloud address.

When I click on the mail icon, and choose iCloud, it asks me to enter the Apple ID and password - when I do that it says that account has already been created on the iPad. But I can't open mail and an email sent to that id bounced.

Any ideas???

click the settings icon, then select mail, then look at accounts and click icloud. In that see if the slider for mail is green.
