Is it possible to get a half decent 8" tablet for around £100?

DC have some Christmas money and want a tablet, preferably with 8" screen.

Budget is £100 though maybe could stretch to an extra tenner or so if necessary.

There seem to be loads of cheapo ones but am assuming they are all utter crap? But is it even possible to get one for that money? Don't want a Kindle anything because of Amazon links and also the adverts. Any suggestions?

Thank you, it looks good but still a 7" screen and they'd really like an 8" if its possible for the money...

The samsung galaxy tab3 is amazing, although only the 7inch is around your budget or just a few pounds over. My kids have it and they love it. It's apps are from google play. The best thing is they can download all the free apps without me having to input the bloody password in every time, it's only for paid apps they have to ask me. My kids are 11 & 7 and the 7" is absolutely fine for their small hands.
