Broken external hard drive

The USB bit inside has come loose.

Is this fixable? How much will it cost?

I imagine it is fixable. Without looking at it, it's hard to be definite, but it doesn't sound like a problem with the disk itself, so you could probably just buy another case and swap the disk into that. Just make sure you buy the right size case.
