Ds wants Minecraft on the laptop - how do you pay for it?

Ok, so ds has Minecraft on every device but we've just had a new laptop and he's asked if we can install it.

I've found a site Minecraft.net - is this the official site?

Also had a quick look on how you purchase but it seems they no longer accept Paypal (which would be my preferred method of payment) it does state however that you can purchase a Mojang Account with Paypal and get the game that way?

My dad paid for ds on his credit card.

Chestnuts, think this is the way I'll have to go but I'll look at the Mojang Account route too!

I've got accounts coming out of my ears and this will be just another one to add to the pile!

Bit of a faff but eventually got it!

Have to open a Mojang account but first Paypal payment didn't go through, rang Paypal and they must have some kind of security check from this site (presume because of previous problems) Paypal let the payment go through once verified.
