I have the camera connection kit so I can get a memory stick I to ipad.

Not sure how I 'bring up' USB on an iPad the way you would go to 'My Computer' on a laptop.

Any ideas?

You can't, I'm afraid. That's the price of buying a device that lets you use it any way you like so long as you use it the way Apple want you to.

You'll have to email them to yourself.

I don't know what the camera connection kit is, but if you want to get them off your iPad onto a mac, you could sync them to the iCloud.

If you want to get them off your iPad and onto a PC, the easiest way would probably be by setting up a Dropbox account on your PC and downloading the Dropbox app.

Whenever I connect my iPad or iPhone to my computer it comes up with a pop up box asking me if I want to copy my photos n to the pc. I do and nice on the pc I then can back them up to a USB or email them.
