Printing photos, help?

Trying to print photo of dc for Xmas. My ink is full, but the photo is coming out really dark? Does any clever person know how I can make it print lighter? epsom printer.

Thanks, but that didn't work. Now ready to throw my printer out of the window. It has printed ok before. Off to Boots I go...

Wish I knew. However, my Epson is sometimes easier to adjust if using as scanner, just an idea.

Dh went and lightened the photo on the computer, rather than via the printer, and voila, it worked!
