Samsung galaxy problem download icons

DH and I got out Galaxy's at the same time.

However on mine I keep getting loads of the green robot icon. Since this morning 6 have appeared. One says injustice another says Download and star dating, another is top table discover. If open them it says iconadserve and takes me to the playstore.
I have tried looking on settings and I have blocked pop ups on Chrome.

How can I stop these appearing. I'm also getting spam junk mail such as £25 risk free bets ,etc which DH isn't getting yet it is all his contract. ( he has 3 business phones on the one account.)

Could be Push Advertising.

Some app you have which DH does not have contains code that generates ads. The robot things you are seeing are ads.

Hmm I have tried that and it says my phone is clear of spam stuff. (It's not) I now have nearly a full window of green robots that have appeared offering me everything from dating hot girls to ' want to go out tonight'

They are taking over!!

Trying an ad blocker now.. Don't know why I didn't think of that before!

Suspect you need to find which app installed the ad software, then remove the ad software and the app which installed it.

Can you remember when it started? Perhaps remove all apps installed or updated since then - though that may mean deleting a lot of stuff.

Look through the apps you have installed, do you really use them all? Delete all those you do not use.

Ha! Found one culprit. The Flashlight.
I used to have the same app on my HTC but it didn't cause any. Problems.

Now that's made a start on the spam texts, just need to get rid of the breeding robots!
