Can you play minecraft on a kindle?

Thinking of getting the £69 kindle but don't want to permit access to minecraft? Anyone know?

I don't know about a Kindle Fire, but if it's a bog standard Kindle (basic or Paperwhite etc) then no you can't.

Im pretty sure you can't browse the internet or anything like that on a £69 kindle. You can only read or download books.

I have a Kindle Fire HD, and yes, you can play minecraft, as I found out when my nine year old bought it without my permission.

OP is not talking about Kindle Fire just the basic one.

You can browse the internet on a basic kindle, but only basically . You can mumsnet and check your web based email but nothing involving sound, video, flash etc.
