iphone stuck in connect to itunes mode

Has anybody managed to successfully get an iphone out of it without loosing all the data? Official Apple line is that you restore your iphone and loose everything but there seems to be software out there that claims to get an iphone out of it. I am just nervous to do it myself. Has anybody used a company in London? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Surely you have all the data backed up on your computer and/or iCloud? Apple go out of their way to make it simple.
