Bt infinity?

Have just moved house and have had super fast broadband installed. Except it's not super fast. In fact it's slower than our old 02 broad band.

Dh just checked a download, it was downloading at a third of the advertised rate. It generally seems much slower than normal broadband, and the connection to the server keeps timing out. Is this usual?

I would say that is unusual. I have had speeds of over 70mbps.
Just did a test now and got 73mbps download, 11mbps upload. (image result)

Connection to what server times out? Are you using WiFi and perhaps have some conflicts with other local WiFi networks?

Oh no. Don't tell me this. Just signed up for infinity. Our current bt broadband is useless and constantly cutting out and we have a speed of 5mb. I'm hoping it will be better than that and more reliable.....

How close are you to the big green box? To help identify the box it has a power supply so you will see at the side things like warning sign, air holes for the fan.

it doesn't sound right, give them a call and they will do a line check etc. ive had infinity for a while now and get just over 70Mb download and just over 10Mb upload. if its new it can take a little while to settle down
