Email won't come through on ipad2 - help please!

I have an ipad2 & haven't updated to IOS7 & everything was ticking along fine until yesterday when I had a message saying it can't receive Email. Don't know why or what i've done [htlconfused]

Oo watching, I've not updated either. And don't intend to. Have you checked settings? Or the classic turn it off and on again? (Deep re set, by powering off using the slider).

I don't know how to do that. Will ask DD1 when she eventually emerges from her bed.

I don't know what I'm looking for on email settings. Ican't see anything obvious that's stopping me getting mail.

Mine went like this for a while. do you use a me.com email address?

I'm not entirely sure, go to settings, look at mail, check that your email account is listed. Select it and make sure mail is on?

Deep reset is when you press the round button and keep it pressed until you see the power off slider come up, slide off. Leave for 2 mins. Turn on again.

It's an ntlworld.com address, do you think that's something to do with it?

Try re entering your email password within the settings

I have an ntlworld address with my mail on an iPad 2 and had mail coming through on iOS 5 & now 7. I think one of your settings for email must have been changed accidentally,the ntl server went screwy or your password for ntl email has changed. Go to settings, mail contacts and calendars then make sure the first slidey option is set on and re enter your password again.

Thank you all for your help. None of thise things worked so i contacted Apple support and got it sorted. It was to do with losing the connection with the server
