How do I create a shared calendar on Google please?

Just that really. Never done an online calendar before and want something that DH and I can look at from phone/home/wherever so we know what's going on in our lives! TIA.

set up the calendar inside your google account and then so long as you both log in you can access it at all times
I sync mine to my phone
and we actually have a calendar per person that are diffeerent colours - wonderful system

calendar.google.com
Then click the cog icon on far right to get a drop down menu, click settings.
The click the word Calendars in the top menu, and click Create New Calendar
It then gives you options, give it a name, select the people you want to share it with. Finally click Create Calendar.
You now have a calendar which is shared with the people you selected/invited.

Brilliant - thank you. Talkinpeace - how do you sync to your phone please? I have an android so can I do the same?

Android should be automatically linked to google accounts.

in accounts and sync, tell it to sync to the email address you log into google
then go into the calendar (I have a cheap samsung)
I sync it every couple of days

I thought it's pushed to the phone? I have an iphone and things on my google account appears on the phone within a minute. Same with DH's nexus 4.

I have a PAYG and am very tight so only have background data switched on when on my home wifi
