My apologies but how do you create a Word document on a Mac and add doc/docx/rtf/txt/ooxml or odt file extentions and photographs, please?

Not sure I understand the question. I use Word for Mac 2011. It saves documents with the file extension "docx" by default. If you want another file extension, use the File; Save As .... menu item.

Not sure that is what you were asking for though?

You need MS Word for Mac if you want to create a 'word' document.

If you are just after any old document to print out, there are cheaper alternatives. I'm pretty sure apple does a word processor. I usually just use google docs.

To create a Word document on a Mac you need Word for Mac. The usual Word software used on a PC does not work on a Mac. Is this what you mean?
Best of luck

And doc and docx are MS word extentions. rtf is rich text format and is open, so you can create them in a lot of text editors. txt is pure text and you can do it in the text editor that comes with mac (can't remember the name as I usually use word wrangler). odt is open office.

If you don't have MS Office for Mac then try this free office package including an equivalent to Word that can save and open word files and others.

Thank you all!

Yes, I discovered that I would need MS Word and there was all sorts of complicated carry on re an important document which was required but the recipient is willing to take the document via email. I am completely crap at this sort of thing. Blush
