What to play the iPod on

DH wants a dock for his birthday, but I'm not sure what the difference is between a dock (possibly with extras like radio) vs an all in one like the DEnon Piccolo.

Which in fact doesn't appear to be that all-in-one as it doesn't appear to have any speakers.

Ideally I think he'd like to dock iPods, phones and perhaps stream from the computer, radio via DAB or internet and obviously want good sound quality- but budget under £300.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Have you been to a Bose store? They will demonstrate for you, I think if you take your iPod with you, they'll let you try it out. They are great quality, one day I will treat myself! Smile

Currently we have a Bush one we got from Argos for £70. It's not bad, but not as fab as the Bose ones we tried. Having said that, we've had it two years now

In York there is a shop called Richer Sounds, I think they are a chain with stores all over. They seemed very knowledgeable.

Not all docks will allow you to connect to a pc or plug in anything except an iPod.

Oh yes, I think there is a richer sounds near-ish here. Haven't been there since I was a student :) (when I updated my gadgets far more regularly than I do these days).....

Yes they have a good reputation, maybe will have some advice
