Raspberry Pi help with monitor

Basically, I'd like to know if it is possible to use a computer monitor with the RPI. I went into Maplin today and the man sold me Triple Phono lead, but I didn't think it would be as simple as that, and it clearly isn't, as this is the wrong cable! Having got home and checked the cable which connects the PC to the Monitor, it's a VGA to VGA. What will I need for the RPI? Sorry, I always thought I was techy enough, but obviously technology is noe passing me by :-(

Standard network cable is what you need apparently: here
