Sims & new laptop for Dd

Dd would like (aka wants) a laptop got her bday/Xmas (has agreed that will be combined as close together) As she could do with one and she can't play sims on my laptop as (apparently) the graphics card is not good enough!). Can anyone recommend a good basic laptop for a teen that won't cost the earth and can run the sims as I don't want to go into PCWorld and get fleecedSmile

Unfortunately Sims is quite graphically intensive.

Look for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card (rather than shared memory). Ask PCWorld staff and hope you don't get a monkey serving you.

If you really want to be sure and be able to run the game in high settings (ie. it'll look the nicest) then you'll need a juicy laptop like this one: Acer Aspire

But to be fair for a child, I'd probably get a mid range one which should run Sims albeit a bit slower.
