'Official' cover for Kindle Paperwhite £31! Is it worth it?

Almost 30% the cost of the actual Kindle, it's not even made from real leather, so WTF does it cost this much?

Official one is here, majority of reviews are glowing.

But there is also this one, reviews also good, but some worrying feedback about the cover staining the Kindle and the magnet breaking.

Any feedback from users appreciated!

I have this one but it doesnt switch the kindle on/off - it works pretty well and no issues with the magnet

My Paperwhite is in a canvas cover from Tescos. It does the job superbly IMO and cost £10 IIRC.

I have this one which does to the switch on/off thing. It's been in use for a year now, and it's fine.

I have the official one and I must say that I like it more than the unofficial one I had for my previous kindle. It feels sturdy without bring too bulky and has saved my kindle from several falls.

I got a Tesco Finest black leather one on special offer, usually £20, for £10. It has been through the washing machine (!) and still looks good. Sadly, my original Kindle didn't fare so well... so I got a Paperwhite replacement :)!

My one fastens with an elastic strap which I like as it makes it easy to hold and operate the Kindle one handed.
