Talk to me about removing conduit

Child has downloaded it whilst fiddling with minecraft skins.

Security essentials is not detecting it (I have had a couple of "malicious software" essentials messages but suspect it is conduit mimicking it.

Flash keeps trying to get me to "update too"

Its now trying to block me from using internet explorer so I use "google"

I'm in safe mode currently.

If I were you I would google "How to remove Conduit from my PC" I have, and you will find a number of options which you can select from in the list.
Also if you go to youtube and search the same question, a number of vids will also offer options.
Hope this helps.

Thanks - I did some of it from the Microsoft site (removal of files and cookies) then got to "resetting registry info" and chickened out.

Another thought, go to the System Restore at a time before the dam thing appeared, see if that removes it.

Just giving it a second scan with Malware Bytes then I will give that a go.

DH did this on our main PC pissing about with torrent sites whilst trying to illegally stream some big fight or something. I was not impressed, though it took weeks of me seething every time I got a conduit pop-up for me to bother attempting to remove it.

It's a new type of malware that needs a special scanner, I DL'd one that worked brilliantly, but can't remember the name of it, I'll check my installed programmes in a minute and link to it.

In the meantime to fix internet explorer, go to settings, internet options, connections, LAN settings and uncheck 'use a proxy server for your LAN connection'

I used "AdwCleaner" to get rid of it from mine, but first you must go into computer, add or remove a programme and uninstall anything by Conduit, then run AdwCleaner, or else the bastarding thing will just reinstall itself, iirc there was one or two Conduit tools I couldn't get rid of by uninstalling but they dissappeared once I used AdwCleaner.

AdwCleaner

System restore "seems" to have removed it, computer definitely faster.
