I know I'm a bit late with this but I have questions before I do this upgrade.

Last time I agreed to do an upgrade,my phone went black and I spent 5 hours on the phone to a boy in Kentucky (apple customer services) he got it back but everything was gone. He said that I shouldn't do the upgrade over the wi fi and I have to plug it in to I tunes.

So I'm worried about doing this new upgrade.

I don't have access to iTunes as computer is in storage at the moment.

Anyone know anything about this?

I don't know what happened last time, but I've updated to iOS 7 over my wifi and it was fine. Make sure you back up first though, even if something does happen everything will be stored in your iCloud. Good luck!

Wait until you have your computer back. iOS7 is nice, but you aren't missing out on much, in my opinion, that couldn't wait a bit.

Besides, within days of the first release they released a second one to cover a hack bug. There will be other releases to cover issues people discover over the next few weeks/months. May as well wait until 7.03+ is released, by which time you can do a proper backup to itunes (in addition to icloud) and then upgrade via itunes.

Husband has just updated his last night through the Mac, but cannot seem to get rid of his photos from the phone, - apart from deleting them one by one on the device (there are hundreds) - you can't even select (tick) them in batches and bin them.

He has also tried settings/general/usage/camera roll swipe and Delete but it doesn't do anything.

Would be grateful for a bit of help on that before he takes the hammer to it.

Thanks for all your help. I'm not going to bother with it for now.

My phone is fine as it is and it sounds like this upgrade isn't all that great anyway.

I don't blame you. I left updating to iOS5 until my apps stopped working!

Im on the last but one upgrade and have no intention of downloading at the moment. Don't like tho look of the new one at all and have no problems with anything at the moment.
Not sure what to do when my phones due for an upgrade 'cos it'll be a 5. Maybe they'll have scrapped the rubbishy cartoony icons.
