Upgrading a contract question

If I stay with the same provider (Vodaphone) but upgrade the handset and the contract on - line, do I have to cancel my previous direct debit or will it all happen automatically?

Dd would stay the same, but tbh it's never worth upgrading, go through one of the cash back sites and check out all the offers on the phone you like.

I have often received @ £300 cash back from the phone provider plus maybe another £40 from the cash back site, you get to keep your number too.

eauPea thanks for the reply. I am never sure of direct debits. As it happens I did use Quidco for my new phone so got £100 cash back!
