Wireless keyboards with Bluetooth for iPad - do I need a mouse as well?

I've got an ipad but I wanted a keyboard as I can type quicker and more accurately on one. I've just bought the Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000 which is lovely to type on BUT I use pages a lot and tables within it. I need to tap on the screen all the time to select cells which I want to enter text in. Would a Bluetooth mouse allow a cursor to move around the screen and select things? It's so annoying! I haven't got use of the full function of the iPad with the keyboard attached.
Any suggestions?

With my iPad /keyboard combo I use my finger on screen still for those sorts of functions - it's instinctive to feel for a mouse, so to speak, but if you get used to keyboard with touch screen combo then you should lose none of the functionality. I have a different keyboard (sorry, tired with small baby and forget name!), but imagine all similar in this respect....
