No. Given how great DSes are, I'm shocked at how awful the U is.

What makes them so bad? It's a possibility for top of a Christmas list here...

We got one as a christmas/housewarming gift from DBIL.

Some excellent titles, like Zombie U, Pikmin 3, Mario Bros etc and the Netflix app supports american DNS code for dozens of more content.

I got one for Christmas with the Mario title and the Nintendoland title.. Its alright, I will no doubt get the Pikmin 3 and whatever Zelda game they bring out, as I am a bit of a Zelda junkie, and DH does like Zombie U.

I think it is a bit expensive is all.

Did not know about the US Netflix DNS code, that's interesting.

The idea that the kids can carry on playing their games whilst the rest of the family watches TV is largely a joke, as lots of titles don't utilise the controller screen properly, and the range on it is absolutely awful (we can't even take ours out of our small living room without it losing signal).

Youtube, Netflix etc all have terrible interfaces, which only play on the TV, and only sporadically make use of the touch screen (missing the point of having a screen on your controller again).

I'd buy a couple of DS 3D XLs instead. DS, DP and I plays with the DS way more than the Wii U, even though the Wii U is on the big screen with better graphics (we use an ancient PS2 for TV in preference to the Wii any time)

The main reason I'd say is that hardly anyone is making games for it, let alone decent games. So you end up with a console and over time the inability to buy any decent games.

I am going to save up and go for one games look fantastic - getting luigi, mario, piximen, dance 4 mario kart 8, planes
