This is a bit complicated! Sorry!!
My DD has just been bought a mini Ipad by her gran. Not entirely happy about it but that's a whole different thread! We created an email address for her a few months ago so we could email when she is at her dads.
Now I dont want to use my personal apple ID so I went to create one for her using her own email address and waited for a verification email. None arrived...(left it 2 hours!)
So, I create a new apple id with a spare email address of mine and go to add my DD's email as an alternative email address, thinking this might get round the problem. Ask for verification email, which I get, and it lo and behold it takes me to my apple id page with a completly different womans details! I have no idea who this person is but she lives in the US!
Anyone encountered this before or can offer any suggestions?
