Dd's kindle is knackered isn't it?

Dd's kindle was on standby -screen looked normal

She turned it on to read it and the screen went crazy -top half blank, bottom half the picture is all streaked and unreadable but no black lines like it has been dropped

I've tried linking it to the computer and holding the on/off button to reboot -nothing

It's buggered isn't it?

Mine did a similar thing. Luckily it was less than a year old and I was sent a replacement by the next morning.

Sometimes it goes all funny when the charge is low. Try charging it fully and then doing a hard reboot, you need to hold the on/off button for ages (about 30 seconds I think). If you have a look at the Kindle help pages on Amazon they explain how to do it for your model.
