Can anyone recommend a cheapish smartphone for geocaching?

Hi, I would like to give geocaching a go and would rather upgrade my phone (currently Samsung tocco lite) than buy a special GPS gadget. I can't afford an iPhone or equivalent so am looking at cheaper end smart phones (budget around £120), has anyone got one that they use for geocaching and would recommend? Thanks

If you have a second hand shop such as Cex nearby go in there, they will have a load of decent 3G phones suitable for caching. Any phone with 3G, a decent size screen and a compass/accelerometer would do.

I got my GPS for about £50 and my friend got hers for £62 off ebay. I have a smartphone but the battery doesn't last long if you use the gps on it. I use the phone to help me when I'm at the cache site but download all co-ords onto gps before I go.
