-Weather Wear (I think you search under iphone apps for that one) - a fun and accurate weather app and it's free.
-Star Walk is amazing.
-IMDB - (Internet Movie Data Base) - I use this all the time, but then I love films and tv. Tells you everything about films/tv/actors and actresses.
-Viber - works like Skype but you can text and phone all over the world for free (you need an internet connection)
-Tickle Time - just to make you smile.

Puffin - it is an internet browser that you can play flash stuff on. You can't on the browser that comes on apple products. It means you can play facebook games on it too.

wow thanks everyone some great tips. Have made a note of them. Bad news is that the camera doesn't work properly so am going to have to get it replaced, so may as well wait before adding all these apps. Boooo.
