Grandad bought the DTs an iPad for their birthday (lucky DTs mummy and daddy aren't using it at all ) mostly in the hope of improving their IT skills and some educational things. They're just 6 - year 2 in September.

We have Mystery Math Town, which is fantastic but I'm struggling for literacy games. There are loads of basic ABC ones and loads of complex word games - I want something in between with simple words and sentences but not so challenging they can't do it and get bored.

They like "Float" which is a logic game and which can get quite challenging and DT2 is startlingly good at Bad Piggies. But anything that will improve numeracy and literacy without them getting bored will be good.

You could ask at their school, if they have ipads there. My teacher friend recommended several maths ones for my dd, as i perceive she needs practice, that they use on her school's ipads.
